Introduction | Information
FLORIDA
Florida Florida is a state located in the southeastern United States. Most of the state is a large peninsula with the Gulf of Mexico on its west and the Atlantic Ocean on its east. It has a warm and humid subtropical climate. It was named by Juan Ponce de León, who landed on the coast on April 2, 1513, during Pascua Florida (Spanish for "Flowery Easter," referring to the Easter season). Florida's economy relies heavily on tourism. The capital is Tallahassee and the largest city is Jacksonville.

Its popularity as a place for incorporation is due to the attractive tax benefits to non-US investors. As an American state, it has the advantage of numerous US double tax treaties and is of course not perceived as a "tax haven" jurisdiction for trading company purposes.
