Newsletter | Articles ILS Faces David Lowe joined ILS Isle of Man (IOM) as an assistant accounts administrator in September 2007. His role includes bookkeeping, preparing financial statements and completing VAT returns. Before joining ILS David worked as the assistant operations manager for the warehousing and distribution arm of Isle of Man’s main brewery Heron and Brearley Limited. David’s main duties included overseeing the warehousing and distribution of products to the brewery’s customer’s, including 59 public houses. David said: “Moving to ILS was a life changing decision as I have no accountancy qualifications, but I am studying CAT and hope to continue on to the ACCA qualification after attaining CAT status.” David, who lives in Braddan, has two children, Richard, 22, and Emma, 20. His one passion is golf. David said: “I have been playing since 1971 and was captain of the Isle of Man’s King Edward Bay Golf Club in 2006. I have won golfer of the year at the club twice, which includes being the current title holder.”
